Reversible Ribcage: Rudy VanderLans Article Design

An Explanation

The name. Reversible Ribcage. I'm very attached to / drawn to the idea of metaphorically exposing one's insides to another, as if one's ribcage were to fold outwardly and reveal the intentions and the motivations of the heart within. To put it more literally (and less graphically), I like expression, and I like showing others what I feel and think. Reversible Ribcage describes my hope to let the viewer in through visual works.

My name is David, & I'm a graphic design student at California State University, Chico. I am currently in the process of feeling around as to what I plan to do with my education in this field, but I feel like I can do something, and that I can do it differently. This blog is where I post my works both as a casual visual portfolio and to display what's going on in my brain and, hopefully, even a little bit of what's going on beneath the ribcage.
